2015 Spring Free Legal Clinics and Peoples Law College

2015 Spring Free Legal Clinics and Peoples Law College

The Oakland County Bar Association’s (OCBA) PALS (Providing Access to Legal Services) will be partnering with Youth Assistance and local libraries to host four free legal clinics this spring and an educational People’s Law College.

The clinics provide individuals a much needed and rare opportunity to sit down with a skillful and knowledgeable attorney to obtain some free advice regarding their legal issues.  The partnership between PALS and Youth Assistance is effortless given their common goals. The OCBA’s PALS committee is charged with implementing programs that provide an understanding of the legal system within the community. In that same vain, Youth Assistance is a community-based program whose mission is to strengthen youth, families and to prevent neglect and abuse through community involvement. The local libraries provide a great neutral environment to host the legal clinics and People’s Law College.
